Day 93 - Pedestrian Bridge: Omaha to Council Bluffs

Around noon today Quinn and I once again set off for Omaha. By 4:30 this afternoon we were getting hungry and decided to head to one of our favorite spots in Omaha, Sushi Blue, we were at the downtown location and had a table out side (Yipee for being able to sit outside at a restaurant, this is probably one of the things I miss most during the winter). Over sushi, ceviche & drinks, we discussed what to do next that would be new and since we were already downtown Quinn suggest we go check out the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge.

It is a walking/biking bridge that connects Omaha to Council Bluffs

Standing in the center on was a tiny bit unsettling since the bridge had a noticeable sway, but the great view was worth it.

It was really windy!

The bridge really does a lot to add to the riverfront and it is linked to 150 miles of trails which is great! I am so glad we took some time to check it out. It also looks very neat at night when it is all lit up.

Other Firsts:
When we were done with the bridge we stopped off at Barley's, which is in the same area as the bridge, to see my beautiful sister Michelle at work. Earlier in the day, when we first got to town, we went to see her new apartment for the first time - I should of taken a picture there, it was awesome! I wish I had something like that at her age (lucky girl!) Congrats, Michelle on your new home :)
