Today after church, Quinn and I walked down the street to the Shawnee Indian Mission State Historic Site for the 24th Annual Fall Festival. We have noticed the signs for the event for the last couple of years, but have never been in town the weekend of the festival to check it out, so after mass we decided to go see what it was about and buy some lunch.
It was a cute little festival. Quinn had a BBQ beef sandwich that was alright and I tried the Indian bread taco - the toppings were pretty basic, but the bread was so yummy. We walked around a bit more and I bought a crushed ice drink on our way out. It was really good!
As we were leaving we decided these festivals will be more fun when we have our kids to bring along (also probably more expensive and hectic too - but so worth it) :)
hello again.
