Day 101 - Soda Vie

Today was another beautiful day! Quinn and I were up early, went to breakfast, then did some cleaning around the house before church - after church we decided to go for a little walk to get lunch and decided to get sandwiches at the Better Cheddar. (They have great ones!)

While they made our lunch, we walked around the store - tried some cheeses and found something crunchy & something to drink to go with our meal. Quinn noticed these blue bottles - called Soda Vie and together we looked at the flavors. There were all interesting and the 'real food' words on the tag caught my attention so we decided to buy the strawberry mint.

It was delicious and although it was pretty pricey at $6, $2 was for a bottle deposit. The sodas are made with local ingredients (when available) and the bubbles are from yeast. They basically brew them like beer and add all the flavors and sometimes real sugar to sweeten them up - but there is no alcohol.

After we enjoyed ours I looked up the website and you can buy them on line and they are also available at Blanc Burger. I highly recommend trying one of these refreshing beverages (just writing this is making me want more!)
